Social Security Verification Changes Raise Concerns Over Accessibility

A major change is coming to Social Security as the Trump administration plans to implement stricter identity verification measures. While the administration insists it is targeting fraudulent claims rather than cutting benefits, advocates warn that the policy will make it harder for seniors and those with mobility issues to access the services they rely on.

"It's going to make field offices more crowded and more difficult to access benefits we have all earned," said Nancy Altman, a Social Security advocate.
