An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up!

As an upper-level ridge of high pressure situates itself over Southern California, our temperatures will warm to the hottest numbers so far this year.

The Coachella Valley will be under sunny skies this afternoon with light winds, low relative humidity and midday temperatures in the lower-90s.

There will be clear skies again on Monday, but with highs in the middle-to-upper 90s. You can expect another day of middle-to-upper 90s on Tuesday, but with morning sunshine transitioning to extra cloud-cover later in the day.

A trough of low pressure will begin to chip-away at those temps on Wednesday as we'll be back to the 80s beginning Thursday.
