Southern California Breaks Temperature Records, But Relief is on the Way

Southern California is feeling the heat today as temperatures soar to record-breaking highs across the region. Thermal broke its record, reaching triple digits for the first time since 1988, when the highest temperature was 98°F. Riverside also tied its 1998 record, hitting 94°F. The Coachella Valley saw its own high of 99°F, surpassing its previous 1988 record of 97°F.
