First high school hockey program coming to the Coachella Valley

Xavier College Prep is launching its first ice hockey program this spring. The puck will drop in the inaugural season in the Fall. The new program will participate in the Anaheim Ducks High School Hockey League (ADHSHL). The emergence of hockey in the desert since the addition of the Coachella Valley Firebirds has made all of this possible. Recently, Xavier had a group of students participate in the 16U division with the Jr. Firebirds, winning the championship for the Southern California Amateur Hockey Association. The Saints will be led by head coach Tirell Stokes.
