Palm Springs Reports Progress in Homeless Outreach, 600+ Served Through New Program

The City of Palm Springs is making measurable progress in its ongoing efforts to support those experiencing homelessness.

During Wednesday night’s city council meeting, staff from the city’s navigation center shared updates on their three-step approach, highlighting the early success of their coordinated outreach program.

According to the report, 604 unique individuals have accessed services through the city’s Access Center, which currently offers showers, case management, and transportation support.

Meanwhile, the city’s early entry facility, which serves as a transitional shelter for up to 46 people per night, has provided more than 34,000 meals to residents.

The biggest development comes from the city’s newly established navigation center, which now includes 80 pre-manufactured residential units offering temporary housing solutions to those in need.

City leaders say the goal is not only to provide essential services but also to build long-term stability through consistent care and structured housing options.
