Glow in the Park Lights Up The Living Desert with Lanterns, Fog, and Photo Ops
A beloved spring tradition has returned to the Coachella Valley. The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens is once again glowing with color as Glow in the Park lights up the night.
This annual event features dozens of handcrafted lanterns, interactive exhibits, and playful effects—some even releasing fog—making it a spectacular experience for all ages. The exhibit offers a perfect mix of magic and photo opportunities, drawing crowds from across the region.
Glow in the Park runs from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on select nights through April 27. This year, there are two special themed nights to look out for: Adults-Only Night on April 3 and Pride Night on April 17.
Tickets are available at livingdesert.org, and advance reservations are highly recommended due to the popularity of the event.

Palm Springs firefighters responded Thursday to a report of a person struck by lightning in the Chino Canyon area. The person was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Firefighters also responded to a palm tree fire in Chino Canyon that officials say was caused by an apparent lightning strike.
