Celebrate Easter in the Desert: Coachella Egg Hunt and Sunrise Service at Palm Springs Tramway
Easter weekend is nearly here, and the Coachella Valley is bursting with festive events for the whole family!
Start the celebration on Saturday, April 12 at Bagdouma Park in Coachella, where the city is hosting its annual Easter Egg-stravaganza. From 10 a.m. to noon, enjoy egg hunts, arts and crafts, and a special visit from the Easter Bunny. It’s a perfect way to celebrate the season with kids and neighbors in a fun, festive atmosphere.
Then, on Saturday, April 20, make your way to the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway for a truly unforgettable Easter Sunrise Service. Set against a stunning mountain backdrop, the service begins at 5:00 a.m., with the first tram departing at 4:15 a.m. Tickets are available at the Tramway’s Valley Station.

Palm Springs firefighters responded Thursday to a report of a person struck by lightning in the Chino Canyon area. The person was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Firefighters also responded to a palm tree fire in Chino Canyon that officials say was caused by an apparent lightning strike.
