NBC Palm Springs and Sunline Transit Agency partner for ‘Pantry to the People’ food drive Thursday.

NBC Palm Springs is excited to be partnering with Sunline Transit Agency, Eagle 106.9FM and Albertsons for 'Pantry to the People' food drive. The event takes place tomorrow, Thursday April 3rd from 7am until 7pm at the Albertsons locations in Palm Springs and Palm Desert.   Look for the Sunline bus in the parking lots of the stores.  All items collected will go to Find Food Bank and The Center Palm Springs.

Sunline Transit Agency's spokesperson tells NBC Palm Springs, "This is one of many events we host to help those in need. We’re proud to be a strong supporter of our community."  

NBC Palm Springs News Director David Reese says, “This is a great opportunity for the public to both clean out their pantry and help their neighbors in need at the same time. We’re happy to give people an easy way to make a positive difference in their community.” 

Volunteers will be in the parking lots of the Albertsons store in Palm Springs, at the Northeast corner of Vista Chino and Sunrise Way, and in Palm Desert at Deep Canyon and Highway 111 from 7am until 7pm.   The community…and especially snowbirds who may be preparing to leave town for the season…are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items and toiletries.  Please check expiration dates before donating.
