Palm Desert Charter Middle School Color Guard competes in World Championships in Ohio

The PDCMS Color Guard was on the national stage over the weekend in Dayton, Ohio. The team traveled to compete in the WGI Sport of the Arts Color Guard Championships. They were the only middle school competing in over 50 high schools in their division and over 300 schools overall. The team made the finals on Sunday representing the Valley with members from grades 6-8.

The Coachella Valley Firebirds are headed back to the postseason for the third consecutive season, and they'll have their leading scorer back in the lineup. Today, the Seattle Kraken reassigned Jani Nyman to the Coachella Valley. Nyman played 12 games in Seattle and had six points (3 goals/3 assists). It's the perfect time for the rookie to return to the Firebirds.
