Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry's Supports Guide Dogs of the Desert
It’s Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry’s, and the beloved ice cream brand is supporting a great cause. The event, taking place at the Ben & Jerry’s location at The River in Rancho Mirage, benefits Guide Dogs of the Desert, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing guide dogs for those in need.
Tim O'Brien is live at the event, bringing us all the action.
The event, which runs until 8 p.m. tonight, is drawing in a steady crowd eager to enjoy a free cone while supporting a local cause. Tim also joked about his forearm getting sore after scooping multiple bowls, but he remains in good spirits, joking about how "Fuego"—the mascot—was kicked out after a health violation was found when a feather was discovered inside the Cherry Garcia ice cream.
With more than 30 flavors to choose from, there’s something for everyone, and it’s all for a great cause. If you're in the area and haven’t made it yet, Tim encourages viewers to swing by for a free cone before the event ends.
"Come on out and grab a cone!" Tim urged. "It’s all for Guide Dogs of the Desert, and I’ll be here scooping until the end of the night!"
