Palm Springs Unified Hires Firm to Lead Superintendent Search

The Palm Springs Unified School District is moving forward in its search for a new leader. During a special board meeting held last night, the PSUSD Board of Education voted to hire Education Support Service Group (ESS) to oversee the search for the district's next superintendent.

The decision comes after the current superintendent, Dr. Tony Signoret, announced his retirement in February. Dr. Signoret will officially step down from his role on June 30, capping off a notable tenure with the district.

ESS, a firm specializing in educational leadership placements, is expected to work closely with the board to identify, vet, and recommend candidates, with a goal of filling the position by July 1.

The board's vote signals a commitment to a smooth leadership transition and maintaining continuity across the district’s operations and student services. More details on the superintendent search timeline and community input opportunities are expected in the coming weeks.
