UCR Palm Desert Continues Cannabis Education Program

UCR Palm Desert is helping prepare the next generation of cannabis professionals through a new online training initiative. As part of its expanding Cannabis education program, the university has introduced a nine-week course designed to equip individuals with the skills necessary to succeed in the commercial cannabis industry.

This quarter marks the third quarter the university partners with Ventura-based Green Flower, a leading cannabis education company, to offer students expert instruction from professionals actively working in the field.

With the cannabis industry facing high turnover and a growing demand for skilled workers, UCR’s program aims to address local workforce needs while helping participants upskill for long-term career success. Whether coming from backgrounds in agriculture, retail, or manufacturing, students can refine their cannabis expertise or enter the field with a solid foundation.

The fully online, asynchronous course costs $750. Enrollment details are available through the UCR Palm Desert website.
