An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for Friday, April 11, 2025!

Record high temperatures will be set in the Coachella Valley this afternoon.

As that upper-level ridge of high pressure strengthens over the Southwest, the Valley will experience the hottest weather so far this year. We'll see mostly sunny skies this afternoon with highs between 102° and 105°. Palm Springs' forecast high of 103° is expected to beat its record of 101° set in 1990.

As this ridge weakens, our temps will begin to back-off... but very slowly.

The Valley will see a mix of Sun and clouds on Saturday with above-normal highs around 100°... middle-to-upper 90s on Sunday.

Starting Tuesday -- and continuing the rest of the week -- Valley high temps will hover around 90° each afternoon.
