Desert Hot Springs Woman Accused of Bomb Threat, Hate Crime Against Palm Springs Chabad
A woman from Desert Hot Springs is in custody after allegedly making bomb threats against the Palm Springs Chabad and individuals associated with the organization.
According to the Palm Springs Police Department, the investigation began on April 3, when officers were alerted to threatening statements made by the 36-year-old suspect. Authorities say the threats targeted both the Chabad facility and specific individuals linked to it.
Following a week-long investigation, the woman was arrested and is now facing charges of criminal threats and committing a hate crime. Police have not released her name at this time.
She is scheduled to appear in court today for formal charges.
Officials say this is an active investigation, and anyone with additional information is urged to contact the Palm Springs Police Department.
