One Person Found Dead, One Injured in Palm Desert Residential Fire

One person was found dead and another is in serious condition today after a fire at a single-family residence in Palm Desert. Firefighters were called at 1:12 a.m. Friday near Tamarisk Flower Drive where arriving fire crews found the single-story structure with heavy fire showing at the front of the residence. One person died at the scene and a second victim was taken to a hospital with severe injuries. Two victims were rescued from the residence by firefighters. Representatives from the Riverside County Building and Safety Department were contacted to assess the condition of the residence.
