Bon Jovi's Defend Soul Kitchen Effort

Rock icon Jon Bon Jovi and his wife are facing mixed reactions over their charitable work in Toms River, New Jersey.
The couple launched a pop-up version of their “Soul Kitchen” inside the local public library.
The initiative provides free meals to those in need, no questions asked.
While many community members are applauding their compassion, local officials are raising concerns.
Toms River’s mayor claims the pop-up is drawing homeless individuals from across the state.
He says nonprofits are transporting people into town, overwhelming local services.
County leaders, however, have pushed back, saying there's no evidence of that happening.
Despite the controversy, the Bon Jovis say their mission remains rooted in dignity and service.
They emphasized their commitment to feeding people, not fueling stigma.
“Solutions, not shame,” they said in a statement addressing the criticism.
The couple plans to keep the Soul Kitchen pop-up running through May.
Supporters say it’s a much-needed lifeline for those facing food insecurity.
