Joslyn Center’s Fashion Show Fundraiser Brings Style and Support to Coachella Valley Seniors

The Coachella Valley’s senior community took center stage today as the Joslyn Center hosted its annual fashion show fundraiser, Joslyn & Bloom: The Garden of Earthly Delights, at the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage.

The event brought together local leaders, dignitaries, and first-time models from across the Valley to strut the runway wearing outfits from local boutiques. Among those participating were elected officials from Indian Wells, Rancho Mirage, and Palm Desert, as well as board members and devoted community supporters.

“This is a good example of how our community shows up for local charities,” said Dr. J, the Executive Director of the Joslyn Center. “We’re thrilled to see how this event has grown each year. Everyone on the runway today is connected to our mission in some meaningful way.”

The annual fashion show serves as a fundraiser for the Joslyn Center, an activity and wellness hub that offers over 65 classes and services, including free individual and group counseling, social engagement opportunities, and health resources to help seniors stay active and avoid isolation.

“Our goal is to help seniors bloom—just like the show’s theme,” said Dr. J. “We want people to get out of their homes, connect with others, and really thrive.”
