Earthquake Rattles Valley, Originates Near San Diego

An earthquake was felt earlier today here in the valley.
It struck just as our news crew was in the middle of our morning meeting.
A strong initial jolt shook the area.
Shortly after, an aftershock followed.
At first, the quake was reported as a magnitude 6.2.
However, it has since been downgraded to a 5.2.
The U.S. Geological Survey confirmed the revised magnitude.
The epicenter was located in San Diego County.
Specifically, it was two miles north of the city of San Diego.
There are no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
Residents are encouraged to stay alert for possible aftershocks.
