Indio Hosts Free Midweek ‘Cella’ Concert Featuring Coachella Artists
The city of Indio is bringing the music downtown with a special event that bridges the gap between the two weekends of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Teaming up with Goldenvoice, the city is launching “Cella”—a free, all-ages concert set for Wednesday night at Center Stage in downtown Indio. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and features performers from the official Coachella lineup, giving fans another chance to catch the music in a more intimate setting.
In addition to the live performances, attendees can enjoy food trucks, a beer garden, and the vibrant downtown atmosphere—all without the need for a festival wristband.
“Cella is about celebrating music, culture, and community,” organizers said. “It gives residents and visitors another way to connect with the spirit of Coachella, right in the heart of Indio.”
Whether you’re taking a break between festival weekends or just looking for a lively evening downtown, Cella promises to be a fun, family-friendly way to keep the music going.

A troubling history is coming to light in a Palm Desert husband’s death. 65-year old Vicky Kim is accused in the death of her husband — but prosecutors say she had previously faced several domestic violence cases involving him. The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office says it had secured protective orders against Kim before a judge later resolved her cases as misdemeanors, released her from custody and terminated those orders. Now, Kim is expected to be arraigned in connection with her husband’s death. Court records allege the weapon used was a flagpole.
