Coachella Valley Forecast: Warm Temps and Breezy Winds Ahead of Cooldown
Skies are clear and temperatures are climbing in the Coachella Valley as we kick off another beautiful spring day. Following Monday’s high of 95 degrees — well above the seasonal norm of 86 — we’re expecting another warm afternoon today with highs ranging from 91 to 95 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
Breezy conditions are expected to develop later today, especially in the usual wind-prone areas like the San Gorgonio Pass and north of I-10. However, winds will remain relatively calm compared to what’s coming later this week.
Currently, the radar is quiet across Southern California with no rain in sight. Satellite imagery shows clear skies, with only a few high clouds expected to drift through later in the day. A low-pressure system sitting far offshore is slowly moving our way and will bring changes beginning Wednesday.
By midweek, winds will start to intensify — particularly late Wednesday and again Thursday afternoon into the evening. Sustained winds of up to 30 mph are possible in areas such as Desert Hot Springs and the northern end of the Coachella Valley.
