An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for Wednesday, April 16, 2025!

As a disturbance moves through the Southwest, on-shore winds will become strong and gusty during the late-afternoon and evening hours today and again tomorrow. Elevated dust and dirt may cause visibility issues and health issues both days. Those winds back-off slightly on Friday, more-so by Saturday.

The Coachella Valley will be under mostly sunny skies this afternoon with highs in the lower-to-middle 80s... lower-80s on Thursday.

The best shot of seeing precipitation with this system will be on Friday with widely scattered light showers over mountains and from the Inland Empire to the Coast. The Coachella Valley will remain rain-free.

After this system disappears to the East, the Valley will clear-out and warm-up. Valley highs move into the upper-80s on Saturday, lower-90s by Sunday.
