Dust Storm Woes: Air Quality Advisory Extended

Persistent high winds have stirred up significant amounts of dust, dirt, and sand in the Coachella Valley, leading to poor air quality levels that range from good to hazardous. As a result, activities like football practice have been canceled. The South Coast Air Quality Management District is expected to extend its dust advisory through Friday evening. Experts urge residents to stay indoors with windows and doors closed until conditions improve, which may happen over the weekend when winds are forecast to calm down. For more information, check "Real Time Air Quality" using the South Coast AQMD app.
