Eisenhower Health celebrates 10 years of performing Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement

Eisenhower Health in Rancho Mirage recently celebrated 10 years of performing Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement, or TAVR. It’s the first and only hospital in the Coachella Valley to offer this life-saving procedure.

Unlike traditional open-heart surgery, TAVR is a less invasive way to replace a narrowed heart valve using a catheter.

Since starting the program in 2015, Eisenhower has done nearly 1,300 TAVR procedures with a 99% success rate—higher than the national average.

Because of its excellent results, Eisenhower now trains TAVR teams from across the country.
