Living Desert Zoo and Luchador Brewing Team Up to Save Mexican Wolves

Saving endangered animals might not typically involve cold craft beer—but in the Coachella Valley, it's proving to be a powerful combination.

The Living Desert Zoo has launched an innovative partnership with Luchador Brewing Company in Cathedral City to raise awareness and funds for the endangered Mexican wolf.

“Our team wanted to do something creative to support these animals,” said Allison Krupp, VP of Communications at the Living Desert. “So we teamed up with Luchador to create El Lobo Mexican Logger—a special brew with a purpose.”

For every pint of El Lobo sold, one dollar goes directly to the zoo's Mexican wolf conservation program. Jamie Benson, co-owner of Luchador Brewing Company, said the collaboration was a natural fit. “We love animals, we love beer—it made sense to bring the two together.”
