Firebirds to host Wranglers in first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs

The Coachella Valley Firebirds will host the Calgary Wranglers in the first round of the Calder Cup Playoffs. All three games will be played at Acrisure Arena beginning on Tuesday, April 22. The Firebirds needed just one point in their final two games to clinch home ice for the first round. Calgary took care of business against San Jose on Sunday afternoon to plant themselves as the fifth seed headed into the playoffs. This will be the third consecutive season the Firebirds and Wranglers will meet in the Calder Cup Playoffs. The Firebirds won both series.
