Well, Monday is the perfect time to take a trip down memory lane—it's National Kindergarten Day!
Celebrated every April 21st, the day pays tribute to the foundations of early childhood education.
It also marks the birthday of Friedrich Frobel, the German educator who pioneered the concept of kindergarten.
Back in the 1800s, Frobel created a space where learning happened through play and hands-on activities.
His idea was to gently transition children from home life to a school environment.
Fast forward to today, and kindergarten has become a key part of education in the U.S.
In fact, almost every state requires school districts to offer some form of kindergarten for five-year-olds.
The heart of kindergarten still beats strong—with curiosity, creativity, and care.
So take a moment today to thank a teacher or relive those joyful first steps into learning.
