Little Wrestlers Bring Big Energy to Oscars in Palm Springs
Oscars in Palm Springs turned into a wrestling arena Thursday night, as little wrestlers brought a powerhouse performance to a packed and cheering crowd. With slaps, stomps, and dramatic tosses across — and even outside — the ring, the high-energy show delivered on every level.
Spectators couldn’t get enough of the action, which has become part of Oscars’ push to host more live sporting events.
“When we had this vision of remodeling Oscars, bringing sports events here was something we wanted to do,” said management. “This is our second time with wrestling — we’ve had average-size wrestlers before, but we’ve been really looking forward to the little people wrestling. It was very well received, and we’re looking forward to bringing them back.”
For the wrestlers, this isn’t just a show — it’s a way of life.
“I want a 20-year weapon,” one performer said. “It’s my life, my passion. I’ve been a fan all my life. Now I get to do what I love to do.”
The touring group heads next to Atalanta, near Victorville, but after the crowd’s reaction in Palm Springs, it likely won’t be long before they return.
