Palm Springs Police Arrest Five in Major Graffiti and Firearms Bust

A year-long investigation by Palm Springs police culminated in a major graffiti-related bust this week, resulting in the arrest of five suspects believed to be responsible for extensive vandalism throughout the area.

Authorities say the suspects caused more than $10,000 in damage, tagging multiple locations across the city. But the scope of the investigation expanded beyond vandalism when officers uncovered a cache of stolen weapons during coordinated raids.

Photos released by police show spray paint cans alongside several recovered firearms, including an assault rifle. Investigators executed arrests at five separate locations in Desert Hot Springs, detaining all suspects without incident.

The individuals have since been booked into the Indio County Jail. Their names have not yet been released, pending further investigation.

Officials noted that the bust is the result of months of work by local detectives, who had been tracking the group’s activity for over a year. The arrests mark a significant development in efforts to curb graffiti-related crime and illegal firearm possession in the Coachella Valley.

Police say the investigation remains active and additional arrests or charges may follow as they process evidence.
