Stagecoach Festival Draws Crowds and Cash, Boosting Desert Economy

As the desert comes alive with the sounds of Stagecoach, thousands of festival-goers are not just enjoying the music — they're spending big, too. This weekend marks one of the busiest times of year for the Coachella Valley, and local businesses are seeing the rewards. Hotel Paseo in Palm Desert, for example, has all 149 rooms fully booked for the duration of the music festival season. Guests, like one woman visiting from Orange County, are contributing to a local spending surge on everything from lodging to late-night bites.

To accommodate the influx, Hotel Paseo’s food and beverage director, Charlie Solis, has brought in extra staff and stocked up on supplies. He's also showcasing local art to appeal to the creative, vibrant festival crowd. Big brands like Bud Light are seizing the opportunity too, stepping in as major sponsors during this high-traffic time.

According to the city of Indio, Stagecoach and its sister festival, Coachella, inject hundreds of millions of dollars into the local economy. From hotels and restaurants to transportation and retail, nearly every corner of the desert community benefits. For businesses and residents alike, music festival season isn’t just a good time — it’s a financial lifeline.
