DEA Raid at Illegal Colorado Nightclub Detains Undocumented Immigrants and U.S. Service Members
In a massive overnight raid Sunday, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) led a large-scale operation at an illegal nightclub in Colorado Springs, resulting in dozens of arrests and a developing investigation involving active duty military personnel.
According to the DEA, more than 300 federal and local law enforcement officers took part in the raid. More than 100 individuals believed to be in the United States illegally were detained and taken into ICE custody.
In a surprising turn, officials say more than a dozen U.S. active duty service members were also found at the club, either working as security or attending as patrons. The Army Criminal Investigation Division has launched an inquiry into the service members' involvement.
Authorities seized drugs, weapons, and uncovered evidence of prostitution at the venue. The DEA did not immediately release the name of the nightclub, but emphasized the seriousness of the charges connected to the raid.
The situation remains under investigation as both federal authorities and military officials work to sort through the complex legal issues surrounding the case.

Palm Springs is mourning the loss of beloved entertainer James “Gypsy” Haake, who has died at 94. Haake began his entertainment career at just 19 years old as a Broadway chorus dancer. After retiring from the stage, he returned to performing at 82, becoming the host of Carnival Cabaret at Oscars in downtown Palm Springs. A longtime friend of our station, Haake was a familiar and beloved figure in the Palm Springs entertainment community — and his contributions were recognized with a star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars.
