Warm, Calm Week Ahead in Coachella Valley Before Weekend Cool-Down
Coachella Valley Weekly Weather Outlook: Warm Days Ahead Before Weekend Cool-Down
Happy Monday, Coachella Valley! It’s shaping up to be a beautiful week across the desert with dry, warm conditions and clear skies—ideal weather to get outdoors and enjoy some sunshine.
Today's high will reach 83°F, which is slightly below the seasonal average. Typically, this time of year sees highs around 90°F, and we’re seeing that number slowly tick up each week as we head deeper into spring. Expect a return to average temperatures by Wednesday, with highs hovering between 90°F and 94°F through Friday.
A weather system that brought gusty winds over the weekend has moved out of the region. The strong breezes that swept through local parks and neighborhoods are making way for calmer conditions, thanks to a building high-pressure system overhead.
Wind-wise, Monday and Tuesday will be calm, with single-digit breezes on the desert floor. Winds will pick up slightly midweek, becoming breezy on Wednesday, with gusts reaching into the 20 mph range—particularly around the San Gorgonio Pass, a well-known wind corridor. By Thursday, winds will subside again, keeping the remainder of the work week comfortable.
Looking ahead to the weekend, a new weather system is expected to arrive, bringing a noticeable shift in temperatures. Highs are forecast to drop into the 70s by Sunday, offering a cooler, more refreshing end to the week.
7-Day Forecast Highlights:
Monday–Friday: Dry and warm, highs in the low 90s
Wednesday: Breezy, with stronger gusts near wind-prone areas
Weekend: Cooler temperatures return, with highs in the 70s by Sunday
So go ahead and soak up the sunshine this week—just keep an eye on that weekend cooldown. Whether you're hitting the trails, relaxing by the pool, or simply enjoying the outdoors, the desert is delivering a week of near-perfect spring weather.
