Desert Regional Medical Center Names Mike Ditoro as New CEO
Desert Regional Medical Center has announced a new chief executive officer. Mike Ditoro will take on the role, bringing years of healthcare leadership experience to the hospital’s top position.
Ditoro first joined Desert Regional in 2018 as chief operating officer and was promoted to chief administrative officer in 2022. His promotion to CEO reflects his strong track record in hospital operations and patient care management.
Michele Finney, who previously served as CEO of Desert Regional, will continue in her position as Group CEO of Desert Care Network. That network includes Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, JFK Memorial Hospital in Indio, and Hi-Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree.
Officials say the leadership transition allows for focused oversight at Desert Regional while maintaining unified guidance across the entire healthcare network. Desert Care Network serves thousands of residents across the Coachella Valley and high desert regions.
Hospital representatives say Ditoro’s leadership will be key in advancing Desert Regional’s mission to deliver high-quality care while supporting the needs of a growing community.
