NFL Agent Jeff Sperbeck Dies After Golf Cart Accident in La Quinta
Some sad news coming out of La Quinta today: Jeff Sperbeck, longtime agent to NFL Hall of Famer John Elway, has died following a golf cart accident at the Madison Club.
According to Cal Fire, the incident occurred Saturday evening around 6 p.m. on Humboldt Boulevard. Authorities say Sperbeck fell out of a golf cart and sustained serious injuries. He was transported to Desert Regional Medical Center, where he passed away early Sunday morning at approximately 1 a.m., according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Details surrounding the accident remain limited, but an investigation is now underway to determine the exact circumstances. Media outlets have reported that John Elway was in the golf cart with Sperbeck at the time of the accident and remained at the scene. NBC Palm Springs has not independently confirmed that detail.
