Stars of the '80s & '90s Reunite at Retro Palm Springs Con This Weekend
Get Ready for a Blast from the Past at Retro Palm Springs Con This Weekend
Palm Springs is turning back the clock this weekend as beloved stars from iconic '80s and '90s TV shows and films gather at the Palm Springs Convention Center for Retro Palm Springs Con. Whether you're a fan of Saved by the Bell, 90210, or The Karate Kid, this is your chance to meet the stars who shaped a generation of pop culture.
Among the celebrity guests is Sean Kanan, best known for his role as Mike Barnes in The Karate Kid Part III and more recently in Cobra Kai. Kanan, a local resident of Palm Springs, caught up with NBC Palm Springs’ Thalia Hayden ahead of the event.
“I’m really excited because I’m coming to Palm Springs this weekend for Retro Palm Springs Con,” said Kanan. “It’s going to be a great time—lots of celebrities, great chance to come out and get some signed autographs.”
Kanan also talked about his passion projects beyond acting, including his books Way of the Cobra and Way of the Cobra: Couples, co-written with his wife. A longtime animal rights advocate and Palm Springs enthusiast, he emphasized what a great opportunity this event is to celebrate both fandom and the community.
Running Saturday and Sunday, Retro Palm Springs Con promises two full days of meet-and-greets, photo ops, merchandise, and a nostalgic trip through TV history. Don’t miss your chance to step back in time and connect with the stars who made your favorite shows unforgettable.
