Thousands Rally in Palm Springs for Justice
More than a thousand protesters gathered in Palm Springs on Saturday.
The annual May Day Rally was held at Downtown Park.
From morning into the afternoon, the crowd continued to grow.
Local activists, labor leaders, and community members took the stage.
The focus: workers’ rights, economic justice, and fair labor practices.
Signs, chants, and speeches echoed through the heart of the city.
Representative Robert Garcia was among the featured speakers.
He fired up the crowd with the message: “Stop the billionaire takeover — we are the many. They are the few.”
Organizers estimate the turnout reached over 1,500 people.
The event was peaceful and filled with energy, unity, and purpose.
Demonstrators say this is just the beginning of renewed labor momentum in the Coachella Valley.

A troubling history is coming to light in a Palm Desert husband’s death. 65-year old Vicky Kim is accused in the death of her husband — but prosecutors say she had previously faced several domestic violence cases involving him. The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office says it had secured protective orders against Kim before a judge later resolved her cases as misdemeanors, released her from custody and terminated those orders.
