NBC’s “Yes Chef” Heats Up as Culinary Competitors Battle for $250,000 Prize

NBC’s sizzling new cooking competition series Yes Chef continues tonight, as dozens of skilled culinary artists face off under the pressure of the clock, hot kitchens—and cameras rolling at all times.

Many of the competing chefs are veterans of televised cooking shows, but others are finding the spotlight to be an added challenge. “Cooking while on camera the entire time, it's a little nerve-wracking,” one contestant admitted. “It takes something that could be so simple to us and makes it a little bit harder.”

The chefs are tasked with creating bold, flavorful dishes in just 45 minutes, all while being filmed from every angle and scrutinized by two culinary icons: chef José Andrés and lifestyle mogul Martha Stewart.

“To see two culinary giants judging everything I do is very intimidating,” another contestant shared.

But for one chef, rising above the chaos and mastering both ingredients and nerves could mean taking home the grand prize—$250,000.

“I’m now realizing that I’m going to have to work with live lobster,” one contestant exclaimed, highlighting the real-time pressure and surprise challenges the show delivers.

Catch the competition and flavor-packed drama unfold on Yes Chef, airing tonight on NBC.
