Ford Pulls Financial Forecast Amid Tariff Uncertainty, Citing $1.5 Billion Impact
Ford Motor Company announced it is suspending its full-year financial guidance due to ongoing uncertainty surrounding President Trump’s tariffs. The automaker estimates that the tariffs could cost the company as much as $1.5 billion.
The company’s Chief Financial Officer said Ford is now focusing on managing what it can control, while it waits for more clarity on how trade policy may evolve in the coming months.
Ford’s decision to pull its forecast reflects growing concern within the auto industry about how retaliatory tariffs from other countries might impact production costs and consumer pricing. The company acknowledged that shifting global trade dynamics could influence consumer behavior and vehicle affordability.
“We’re watching closely how these policies play out and how customers may respond to higher prices,” a Ford spokesperson noted.
With global supply chains still stabilizing and uncertainty around future trade agreements, Ford says it will reevaluate its forecast once there is a clearer picture of the economic impact.

A troubling history is coming to light in a Palm Desert husband’s death. 65-year old Vicky Kim is accused in the death of her husband — but prosecutors say she had previously faced several domestic violence cases involving him. The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office says it had secured protective orders against Kim before a judge later resolved her cases as misdemeanors, released her from custody and terminated those orders.
