An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for Thursday, May 8, 2025!

As an upper-level ridge of high pressure begins to nudge its way over the Southwest, temperatures will slowly heat-up.

Today, the Coachella Valley will be under totally clear skies with dry air and midday highs in the middle-to-upper 90s. Next, triple-digit temps are forecast from Friday through Sunday.

The peak-of-the-heat will occur on Saturday when the Valley will experience its hottest numbers (so far) this year. That's when Palm Springs is expected to hit 107°

But, the Valley's roller-coaster ride of temperatures continues into next week.

As a frontal boundary moves through the Southwest early next week, on-shore winds will become gusty on Monday, followed by cooler temps in the lower-to-middle 80s on Tuesday.
