INDIO CELEBRATES FIRST-EVER ASADA FEST
The city of Indio is turning up the heat with its first-ever Asada Fest.
It’s all happening in downtown Indio, where the streets are alive with music, flavor, and celebration.
The festival also coincides with Hispanic Mother’s Day, observed today across the globe and in the U.S.
From now until 9 p.m., visitors can enjoy tacos from beloved local spots like Tacos Amar o Tierra, Outside the Masa, and Elowtitos.
The aroma of grilled meats and spices fills the air, drawing in food lovers from all over the valley.
Live bands and local performers are taking the stage, keeping spirits high throughout the evening.
Families are enjoying face painting, bounce houses, and an exciting obstacle course for kids.
One of the biggest crowd-pleasers? The guacamole contest, where participants compete for tasty prizes.
Vendors are also offering refreshing aguas frescas and sweet treats to cool down.
The event aims to honor mothers while spotlighting the cultural richness of the community.
Organizers say this is just the beginning of what they hope becomes an annual tradition.
With delicious food, festive music, and a strong sense of community, Asada Fest is making a sizzling debut.
