Lyons was recently named one of five national winners in EOS Fitness' Submit Your Fit contest.
Out of more than 900 submissions, his transformation stood out for its impact and inspiration.
Now, he's helping others transform their fitness journey on NBC Palm Springs.
This weekend marks the start of a new three-day workout cycle.
David is joined by Gabby to demonstrate his Optimal Body Contraction Training method.
They’re using resistance bands anchored at a low angle for targeted movement.
Day one focuses on chest, back, and shoulders.
The first move is an incline chest press with a four-second hold.
Next is a back row, emphasizing strong posture and shoulder blade contraction.
The final move works the shoulders, pressing upward with another slow, four-second hold.
Lyons says contraction training helps maximize strength and control in every rep.
