An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up for Monday, May 12, 2025!

This last weekend's triple-digit heat may be in our rearview mirror, but now winds will be an issue for the Coachella Valley.

As a frontal boundary moves through the Southwest over the next 48-hours, on-shore winds will be our concern. A Wind Advisory has been posted for the very West end of the Coachella Valley, San Gorgonio Pass, area mountains and High Desert though very early Wednesday morning.

And -- because of elevated dust and dirt -- an Air Quality Alert has been issued for the Valley through 5a on Wednesday.

As far as temperatures, the Valley will peak in the lower-90s under a mix of Sun and clouds this afternoon. You can expect lots of sunshine on Tuesday with cooler temps in the lower-80s.

Then we begin to level-off with highs in the upper-80s/lowers-90s for the rest of the week.
