More than 3,000 students from Cal State San Bernardino, including graduates from the Palm Desert campus, will celebrate their achievements at a two-day commencement ceremony this weekend. The ceremonies are set for Friday and Saturday at Toyota Arena in Ontario. University officials say approximately 3,100 students from both the San Bernardino and Palm Desert campuses are expected to participate.
The event marks a major milestone for students and families, highlighting the dedication and hard work of the graduating class of 2025.
In the Coachella Valley, Palm Springs Unified School District (PSUSD) is taking action to promote mental wellness. The district, in partnership with Riverside University Health System, will host a free mental health awareness workshop on Saturday at Desert Hot Springs Middle School. The event, called Embrace Culture and End Stigma, runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The workshop will offer cultural entertainment, breakfast, and lunch. Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak with counselors, social workers, and licensed therapists in a supportive environment designed to foster mental health education and awareness.
