Palm Springs Unified School District to Host Mental Health Conference

DESERT HOT SPRINGS (CNS) - The Palm Springs Unified School District,
in partnership with Riverside University Health System, will host a mental
health awareness workshop this weekend as part of Mental Health Month in Desert
Hot Springs.
  

The ``Embrace Culture and End Stigma'' workshop will be held from 8
a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Desert Hot Springs Middle School, located at 66755
Two Bunch Palms Trail.
  

The free event will include cultural entertainment, breakfast and
lunch, and opportunities to speak with counselors, social workers and licensed
therapists, organizers said.
  

Six workshops will be offered, covering topics such as vaping,
fentanyl, self-harm, eating disorders, emotional regulation, immigrant family
support and strengthening parent-child relationships.
