VEG ER for Pets Opens First 24/7 Emergency Animal Hospital in Palm Desert

A long-awaited emergency veterinary care option has finally arrived in the Coachella Valley. VEG ER for Pets officially opened its newest hospital today in Palm Desert, marking a major step forward for local pet owners.

The opening was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m. The new hospital offers around-the-clock emergency veterinary services including surgeries, x-rays, ultrasounds, and care for both common pets and exotic animals.

This is the first emergency animal hospital of its kind in the Coachella Valley and the 12th VEG location in California. Local pet owners have previously had to drive long distances for urgent care, which created significant stress during emergencies.

“There hasn’t been any emergency veterinary care locally for almost two years,” a VEG spokesperson explained. “This new location allows us to help pet owners and their animals 24/7 right here in the community.”

The hospital’s first patient—a happy German shepherd accompanied by its owners—was warmly welcomed by staff lined up with balloons to mark the special moment.

VEG ER for Pets says their goal is not just to provide top-tier medical care but also to ensure both pets and their owners feel supported and comforted from the moment they enter the facility.

The Palm Desert hospital is expected to make a significant difference for local pet owners facing urgent medical situations, giving them peace of mind and quick access to critical services.
