Manny the Movie Guy even tossed in a slice of humor from his past: “I once worked making pizzas in high school... because I needed the dough.”

Also on today’s holiday menu? National Mimosa Day, perfect for a brunch toast—though the team agreed it feels more like a Sunday celebration. Rounding out the day is National Sea Monkey Day. The nostalgic tiny brine shrimp, famous for their comic book ads and cartoon family depictions, got a shoutout from childhood memories.

And it wouldn't be Friday without trivia. Today’s theme: nickel. First up, a nod to Nichelle Nichols, one of the first Black women in a major TV role as Nyota Uhura on Star Trek. Some guessed Chekov or Sulu, but the correct answer was B—Uhura.

The next nickel question took us to the early 2000s, when Nickelback broke into the charts with How You Remind Me. The team had to name the band’s lead singer and songwriter. The correct answer? Chad Kroeger.
