Holiday Hashtag Calendar and Pop Quiz: Cake, Chains, and Queen Victoria

Monday kicked off with a lively edition of the Holiday Hashtag Calendar and Pop Quiz, brought to you by Inland Empire Health Plan. The May 19 lineup includes an eclectic mix of sweet treats, green thumbs, regal history, and rock 'n' roll.

First up: National Devil’s Food Cake Day, celebrating the indulgent dessert that earned its name thanks to its dark, rich “sinful” flavor—a devilish contrast to its angel food cake counterpart.

Next, it’s National Plant Something Day, encouraging everyone to get their hands dirty. Whether it’s indoors or outdoors, planting something adds beauty, improves air quality, and just feels good.

Canadians, meanwhile, are celebrating Victoria Day, a holiday honoring Queen Victoria’s birthday (May 24, 1819). It's observed on the Monday closest to her birthday and kicks off the summer season up north.

Also on the list is Supply Chain Professionals Day, a shout-out to the essential workers who make sure goods get from point A to point B. To honor the theme of “chain,” the pop quiz took a creative twist.
