Rep. Raul Ruiz Honors Palm Springs First Responders After IVF Clinic Bombing

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Raul Ruiz (CA-25) delivered heartfelt remarks on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives today in response to the recent domestic terrorist attack that targeted the American Reproductive Centers IVF facility in Palm Springs.

“Despite the deliberate and targeted domestic terrorist bomb attack… thank God Dr. Abdallah, his staff, and all eggs and embryos are safe,” Ruiz said.

He praised the strength and resilience of the Palm Springs community, calling its people “beautiful, inclusive, accepting,” and credited the city’s emergency response teams with protecting lives and restoring order in the immediate aftermath of the explosion.

Ruiz gave special recognition to Palm Springs Police Chief Andy Mills, Fire Chief Paul Alvarado, and FBI Assistant Director Akil Davis, as well as all law enforcement officers, healthcare professionals, and first responders who acted with “courage, professionalism, and excellence.”

“All those injured in the bombing have been released from the hospital,” Ruiz noted. “Palm Springs is safe.”

He concluded his remarks by reaffirming his support for the people of Palm Springs: “My heart is with you, and I stand by you.”
