Desert Hot Springs to Host Memorial Day Ceremony at Veterans Park
Desert Hot Springs will hold a Memorial Day ceremony next Monday at Veterans Park to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation.
The ceremony begins at 9 a.m. and will include appearances by retired U.S. Marines and members of local high school JROTC programs. Community leaders say the event is an important opportunity to pause and remember those who gave their lives in defense of freedom.
Mayor Scott Mattis called it a moment for the city to come together in gratitude and reflection.
“It’s a time to honor the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s fallen heroes,” he said.
The event will conclude with a patriotic flyover provided by the Palm Springs Air Museum, adding a powerful tribute to the solemn occasion.
All members of the community are welcome to attend.
