VillageFest Will Go On as Planned Thursday in Downtown Palm Springs
Following the recent bombing that shook downtown Palm Springs, city officials have announced that VillageFest will continue as scheduled this Thursday, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., in the heart of downtown.
The weekly open-air street fair, a longtime community tradition, will go on to show resilience in the face of adversity—and to continue supporting local vendors, artists, and small businesses.
In a statement, the City of Palm Springs emphasized that public safety remains a top priority. Palm Springs Police will be present throughout the event to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for everyone in attendance.
City leaders are encouraging residents and visitors to come out, shop local, and show their support for the community.
“Now more than ever, it’s important to come together,” said one city official. “VillageFest represents the spirit of Palm Springs—vibrant, united, and strong.”
From artisan goods and live music to food vendors and family-friendly fun, this week’s VillageFest is expected to be both safe and memorable.
