Sunlogix and Buckler Construction Step Up to Aid Bomb-Damaged Palm Springs Businesses
In the aftermath of last Saturday’s devastating bombing in Palm Springs—an attack the FBI describes as one of the largest in Southern California history—local businesses are not only struggling with physical damage but are also facing insurance complications. Many are discovering that terrorism-related losses are not covered under standard policies, leaving them on their own to cover costly repairs.
To help bridge that gap, NBC Palm Springs has launched a community-driven fundraising campaign, “Mending Palm Springs,” taking place today at Boozehounds in downtown Palm Springs. The event has drawn an outpouring of support, including donations and volunteer efforts from local residents and companies.
Among those stepping up in a major way is Sunlogix, a Palm Springs-based solar, HVAC, and construction company, along with their partner Buckler Construction. Both companies have offered to provide essential repair services—at no charge—to local businesses suffering from structural damage, power outages, and HVAC failures due to the blast.
“We saw your newscast yesterday and felt compelled to help,” said Sandy from Sunlogix. “We’ve assembled teams across our HVAC, solar, and construction divisions to respond to business owners in need. Whether it’s electrical systems, structural repairs, or cooling issues, we’ll dispatch the right experts and assess how we can assist.”
The damage from the bombing spans an estimated six-block radius, impacting doors, windows, electrical wiring, and air conditioning units. For small business owners who are the economic and cultural heart of Palm Springs, this help couldn’t come at a more crucial time.
NBC Palm Springs is continuing to accept cash donations at Boozehounds until 7 p.m. tonight, with all proceeds going directly to affected businesses. Additionally, the contact information for Sunlogix and Buckler Construction will be posted on the NBC Palm Springs website for those needing urgent assistance.
From shattered storefronts to a community determined to rebuild, Palm Springs is showing that resilience is stronger than fear—and help is never far away.
